So America has gone to war. Big news eh? Not really when you think
about it. This war has been going on for a long time. This is just
another 'one' in the long row of self-destructive attempts. The
attacks of the 11th of September was an act of war, not terrorism.
Most mainstream media has reported the event as an act of terrorism,
but how can that be, when our good old friend Osama Bin Laden declared
war on the US not so long ago. When you declare war, and in connection
what that initiate an attack, it is war. Not terrorism. I guess
the reason why the term 'terrorism' was chosen, is the fact that
it is a hell of a lot easier to condemn an act of terrorism that
it is to condemn an act of war. More donations.
F15, F16, B1, B2, F117s etc, are all busy bombing Afghanistan back
to the 'Stone Age'. Some say that that is entirely impossible, since
how can you bomb a country back to the stone age when they are already
there? I wonder what they will bomb them back to then? The US has
to walk a very thin line right now. They have to show the American
public that they are indeed retaliating against the attacks on their
nation while remaining friends with the rest of the Muslim world.
They have to make sure that they are not attacking Islam but only
the Taliban. However successfully this will be done is questionable.
Afghan neighbours, Pakistan has nuclear weapons. Their neighbour,
India, has nuclear weapons. India and Pakistan are not exactly friends.
See the problem? All Muslim countries.
The question that remains is what will happen with Afghanistan?
Who will rule the country when and if the Taliban are eradicated?
Will it be taken over by the west, and controlled by them? I don't
think so. Will the Taliban resistance be able to run the country?
Perhaps.
One solution which has been ignored is the possibility of bombing
Afghanistan out of existence, just enough, so that the whole country
would sinks below sea level. No more problems. Afghanistan would
be gone. Should be an easy thing to do with the current state of
things. The Americans have the technology. They "know"
how to use it. By removing Afghanistan from the world map even Russia
would be happy. Only a few mountains would remain. The Taliban Islands.
In 20 years time, those would become major tourist attractions,
offering a wide variety of attractions, serving Coca Cola from Nuclear
Cooled vending machines. They will be offering "The Bin Laden
Tent of wonders". The 3D interactive Training Module, "how
to hit buildings", sponsored by Microsoft, with real time rendered
impact scenarios. Another section will contain wax figures and figurines
of your favourite Taliban heroes. The possibilities are endless.
