A Phoenix man says he caused the red light display that mystified thousands of people as it floated across the north Phoenix sky Monday night.

“An official from Luke Air Force Base stated that they do not have any aircraft in the sky tonight and that the lights are not part of any Air Force activities.The Deer Valley airport officials said that the lights were not from any aircraft at that airport.
Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration said that air traffic controllers at Sky Harbor Airport also witnessed the lights, but they do not know the cause.”
This is Alien Jesus’ neck of the woods and this is the first time anybody is making a big deal about these lights. They’ve been around for years and nobody ever knows anything. Nobody ever much looks.
What I find the most interesting is last night so many people were looking up and decided this was strange.

Triangle over Australia

Interesting series of images from Google Earth showing a giant Triangular something over Australia. The article says UFO, but it could also be something on the ground. If the altitudes listed for each photo are accurate, it seems to me that some comparison between the photos could determine whether the object is on the ground or airborne.

UFO Casebook is a great resource for up to date UFO sightings and photos. Definitely worth a look are their best UFO photos of 2005, and the collection of the best UFO photos of all time.
Some of the pictures look like good fakes, but there are some unexplainable ones as well. Whether you want to photograph real UFOs or create hoax photos, you’ll definitely learn something here.

Pravda.ru reports on the history of KGB UFO research. Nothing too shocking here, but its nice to learn about UFO sightings in the land of bears and vodka. The reports were acquired from the KGB by cosmonaut Pavel Popovich, who once saw a UFO on a plane flight from Washington to Moscow. But let’s not forget that Americans saw the first UFOs in space!
