The eclipse wont be visible in the US but you can watch the live webcast.
Starts at 7am eastern, 4am Pacific.
I found this on the comment section of the latest Harry Shearer blog on Huffpo.
“One of my favorite moments yesterday was of a female reporter chastising a man in Galveston for standing on a jetty, having a friend take pictures of him as the hurricane approached. She could not believe this man’s stupidity.
All this as she stood on a pier about 200 yds from him having a cameraman film her as the hurricane approached.
Man on jetty was in it for fun. Yes, this make him stupid.
Woman on pier does it for money. This makes her stupid and a whore.”

“Today, somewhere in the DC metropolitan area, the military is conducting a highly classified Granite Shadow “demonstration.”
“Granite Shadow is yet another new Top Secret and
compartmented operation related to the military’s extra-legal powers regarding
weapons of mass destruction. It allows
for emergency military operations in the United States without civilian supervision or control.”
Big peace marches all throughout the United States, the Biggest in D.C. If something goes boom today, you can bet it’s all a part of this drill and not some random know-name terrorist. President Bush , out of town presumably to be nearer the hurricane, is holed up at the Northern Command. One of those mountain bunkers that has elevators all the way to the luxury suites in middle earth. With all the hurricane news dominating, just about anything can happen in D.C. today. Good timing on the hurricanes part, eh? Weather manipulation anyone?
CBS 5 report on soldiers in New Orleans giving a building an exorcism and giving accounts of ghosts.
New Orleans has been called one of the more haunted cities and seeing these brave and bold soldiers running from bumps in the night, you have to believe it really is.
Heaps of Traffic cams for the Houston Area.
Why blow the levees when you can engineer the flood walls to collapse when the water gets to a’threatening the more prosperous sections?
Whitley Strieber’s Unknown Country
“…At virtually the same time, the House of Representatives, at
the request of the Bush administration, cut 70 million
dollars from the Army Corps of Engineers’ budget for the New
Orleans District. Last year, it essentially ended disaster
planning for the region by transferring the chore to a
private company, IEM Corp., and giving it a $500,000 budget.
Now, it has shelved a study that was to determine ways to
protect the city from a Category 5 hurricane…”
IEM Corp? Wonder if Dick Cheney gets any money from that? Need to dig into this one.
