The LA Times interviews several former Area 51 employees about the OXCART program, along with other goings on at the base.

“Late Sunday, three CIA agents brought me home. One drove my car; the other two carried me inside and laid me down on the couch. I was loopy from the drugs. They handed Jane the car keys and left without saying a word.” The only conclusion she could draw was that her husband had gone out and gotten drunk. “Boy, was she mad,” says Collins with a chuckle.

Area 51 Softball Field

Did you know that Area 51 has a softball field? It seems employees of the Atomic Energy Commission’s Nevada Test Site knew about it in 1965, when the Area 51 slo-pitch team beat their rivals from Area 12. This satellite image seems to indicate they still play there today. Unfortunately, the team’s record is classified.
