I don’t know if Scott Peterson murdered his wife or the fetus she was carrying. I can only express how I feel about the situation. I feel as though I am again, opening the pages of the Charles Dicken’s novel “Great Expections”. There seems to be an abundance of co-incidences in this case involving Scott Peterson. I realize that life if full of co-incidences. Is this life or the revival of an old novel by Charles Dickens?
I want to be fair and give him the benefit of the doubt. I am an believer of innocent until proven guilty by a unbiased jury. Isn’t that the way the American justice system works?

This is a big FAT JOKE! The media, once again has proved its power & has hung another innocent man for a murder HE DIDN”T COMMIT!!!! Jesus- does no one see how he looked when he first went to court? The body talks – without him having to say or do anything – when they read “inflict harmful injury” ….You could see his whole body recoil at the thought of hurting Lacey.
This Court system has become so freaking corrupt & the MEDIA dictates what THEY want us to think to think.
NOT ME!!! YOU’LL NEVER GET ME TO believe the media spin -sadly look how quick everyone dumped him -& like Westerfield he was in the wrong place – & somebody used it to their best- advantage….take a big wide fish eye at missy frey!
why would anyone come out with a statement a whole month later like she did…except to castrate the man who dumped her because he didnt want to lose his wife….
Amber Frey was mad as hell- & she was a fatal attraction for scott. I lived in modesto- its not a whole lot better in fresno- she thought she had a live one & the police should be focussing in a little more on amber & her sister Ava-maybe her whole dang family….but then we are talking about modesto- the police are a facade-they have no idea how to really be detectives…Amber Frey Is pure evil. Ava knows how to scuba dive…..how about Amber,? Oh, & by the way ms. Anne oliver…in reply to your statement…THIS is NOT a flippin old novel by charles Dickens….hello…the lights are on & the director is shouting!

I don’t know anything about this message board or the purpose behind it. I was searching the internet and came up with this site. I think the media too quik to pass judgement on an individual. I do not believe all the facts are in. The murder of Lacy Peterson is horrible. However, I do not think we should pass judgement upon the husband yet. I am speaking from personal experience. I do not know why, but there are some that would like to blame the world’s problems upon a few. It is my opinion that the Peterson case has drawn too much media attention. I am searching for an answer as to why. If any of you have any insight upon this. I would appreciate an honest comment.

This is in response to cheri’s absolutely absurd commentary.

Cheri you use the example of Scott’s demeanor at his arraignment as an indicator of innocence. You said his “body talks” in response to the thought of hurting Laci.

Well, Cheri, do you think his body was “talking” when he casually and happily was at the strip joint awaiting the identification of the bodies found washed ashore?

Do you think Scott’s body looked so innocent when he was snuggled up to his cell phone whispering sweet nothings into the ear of Amber whilst everyone else was looking for his wife?

Do you think his body was “talking” to him about not wanting to hurt Laci when he sold her vehicle, attempted to sell her car, or refused to cooperate & console his wife’s family?

Do you think Scott’s body was “talking” loud and clear when he would do whatever he could to evade the Modesto Police & the questions they had for him? Was his body language that of a grieving man when he told investigators to get search warrants?

Perhaps his body language was speaking volumes when he lead John Walsh on a wild goose chase to Modesto for an interview that he never showed up for as pre-planned?

I bet his body was looking really wracked with grief on the golf course? At the bars he frequented? Down in Mexico? I am sure his body was convulsing in pain and agony as he drove to San Diego multiple times.

I am sure Scott was too devastated and full of pain to accompany his family or the Rocha family on the multitude of interviews and TV appearances with the goal of getting the word out there to find Laci. Yes, boy Scott, had to let everyone else do his bidding–just so much body pain, eh?

Perhaps his body appeared to be consumed with grief when he went back to the Berkeley Marina multiple times AFTER stating in an interview how “sad” that made him knowing the officers were wasting their efforts by searching the bay?

Oh yes, you are so right Cheri; Scott’s body language spoke volumes and was shouting at people to notice! And all that “talking” was saying one thing…”Scott Peterson murdered his wife and unborn child”.

Most of you giving your opinions in this column are on the right track. However, a few of you may need a psych evaluation. Isn’t it apparent that Scott Peterson is more than likely the murderer? I don’t know what else you need to determine that. He shows no emotion when you see him on tv, whether it be in his body language or facially. He gets rid of Lacey’s car & gets himself a nice new truck, dyes his hair a new color before attempting to leave the country, SUPPOSEDLY going on vacation. Yeah, whatever. If he had any kind of a loving soul, he would have spent every second he could with Lacey’s parents, proving to them his innocence. He is another man that went to the extreme to try to cover his own ass because he couldn’t keep it in his pants. Rather than facing his problem, & admitting he screwed up, he chose the cowardly way out & destroyed two beautiful lives.

he is as guilty as sin i have never in my 65 years seen such a low life and his parents are stupid or in denial. for gods sake this was their grandchild too. may he get his on earth if not he has to face GOD someday.he better hope they put him in a cell by himself even the worse inside of prison will feel any sympathy for a mother and child murder.and that attorney he has should loose some one he loves in such away and then see how he would grin and play to the camaras.

Why would anyone do this? What about confession?
Have the police gotten Scott alone, and attempted to get a confession? I have read that crimnals often need to, and want to confess…to cellmates, priests/pastors, and even family members…can police or prosecuters use a confession as evidence if it is from pastorial
sources? This is a problem that is becoming more common, and manifesting more frequently in our society. What is causing this violence against
mothers and unborn children? God help us all!

anyone who thinks that scott did not kill his wife and child need a fuckin reality check, what kind of husband and future father would leave the country after his wife and child were killed. ITS SIMPLE REALLY IF EVERYONE WOULD JUST OPEN THEIR EYES, SCOTT PETERSON KILLED HIS WIFE AND CHILD, HES A SICK DEMENTED KILLER AND DESERVES NOTHING LESS THAN TO BE EXECUTED.

I do believe in a right to a fair trial,however, after I have heard of all the known facts about this case, I do have to say he does sound pretty guilty.He acts very suspicious, and cold.I know if my husband acted that way, It would not be normal.They say everyone reacts differently, but his actions are as cold as ice.I think we can all agree on that.cherie thinks Amber Frey had something to do with Lacys murder, well maybe she did, maybe he doesnt even know, or maybe they are in this together and Scott is taking the wrap for Amber? Maybe that sounds too far fetched, but I am a big believer in anythings possible.
