you know the story, right? Pregnant Laci went a’missing on Christmas Eve and showed up sans fetus a few days ago. The husband, Scott, has always been the number one suspect and the media has played along.
An interview with Scott’s parents have some very interesting comments. Now of course parents are going to think their kid is innocent but there’s more to it than that.
The guy has already been convicted before he’s even arraigned. Innocent before prooven guilty, folks.

I don’t know if Scott Peterson murdered his wife or the fetus she was carrying. I can only express how I feel about the situation. I feel as though I am again, opening the pages of the Charles Dicken’s novel “Great Expections”. There seems to be an abundance of co-incidences in this case involving Scott Peterson. I realize that life if full of co-incidences. Is this life or the revival of an old novel by Charles Dickens?
I want to be fair and give him the benefit of the doubt. I am an believer of innocent until proven guilty by a unbiased jury. Isn’t that the way the American justice system works?

This is a big FAT JOKE! The media, once again has proved its power & has hung another innocent man for a murder HE DIDN”T COMMIT!!!! Jesus- does no one see how he looked when he first went to court? The body talks – without him having to say or do anything – when they read “inflict harmful injury” ….You could see his whole body recoil at the thought of hurting Lacey.
This Court system has become so freaking corrupt & the MEDIA dictates what THEY want us to think to think.
NOT ME!!! YOU’LL NEVER GET ME TO believe the media spin -sadly look how quick everyone dumped him -& like Westerfield he was in the wrong place – & somebody used it to their best- advantage….take a big wide fish eye at missy frey!
why would anyone come out with a statement a whole month later like she did…except to castrate the man who dumped her because he didnt want to lose his wife….
Amber Frey was mad as hell- & she was a fatal attraction for scott. I lived in modesto- its not a whole lot better in fresno- she thought she had a live one & the police should be focussing in a little more on amber & her sister Ava-maybe her whole dang family….but then we are talking about modesto- the police are a facade-they have no idea how to really be detectives…Amber Frey Is pure evil. Ava knows how to scuba dive…..how about Amber,? Oh, & by the way ms. Anne oliver…in reply to your statement…THIS is NOT a flippin old novel by charles Dickens….hello…the lights are on & the director is shouting!

I don’t know anything about this message board or the purpose behind it. I was searching the internet and came up with this site. I think the media too quik to pass judgement on an individual. I do not believe all the facts are in. The murder of Lacy Peterson is horrible. However, I do not think we should pass judgement upon the husband yet. I am speaking from personal experience. I do not know why, but there are some that would like to blame the world’s problems upon a few. It is my opinion that the Peterson case has drawn too much media attention. I am searching for an answer as to why. If any of you have any insight upon this. I would appreciate an honest comment.

This is in response to cheri’s absolutely absurd commentary.
Cheri you use the example of Scott’s demeanor at his arraignment as an indicator of innocence. You said his “body talks” in response to the thought of hurting Laci.
Well, Cheri, do you think his body was “talking” when he casually and happily was at the strip joint awaiting the identification of the bodies found washed ashore?
Do you think Scott’s body looked so innocent when he was snuggled up to his cell phone whispering sweet nothings into the ear of Amber whilst everyone else was looking for his wife?
Do you think his body was “talking” to him about not wanting to hurt Laci when he sold her vehicle, attempted to sell her car, or refused to cooperate & console his wife’s family?
Do you think Scott’s body was “talking” loud and clear when he would do whatever he could to evade the Modesto Police & the questions they had for him? Was his body language that of a grieving man when he told investigators to get search warrants?
Perhaps his body language was speaking volumes when he lead John Walsh on a wild goose chase to Modesto for an interview that he never showed up for as pre-planned?
I bet his body was looking really wracked with grief on the golf course? At the bars he frequented? Down in Mexico? I am sure his body was convulsing in pain and agony as he drove to San Diego multiple times.
I am sure Scott was too devastated and full of pain to accompany his family or the Rocha family on the multitude of interviews and TV appearances with the goal of getting the word out there to find Laci. Yes, boy Scott, had to let everyone else do his bidding–just so much body pain, eh?
Perhaps his body appeared to be consumed with grief when he went back to the Berkeley Marina multiple times AFTER stating in an interview how “sad” that made him knowing the officers were wasting their efforts by searching the bay?
Oh yes, you are so right Cheri; Scott’s body language spoke volumes and was shouting at people to notice! And all that “talking” was saying one thing…”Scott Peterson murdered his wife and unborn child”.

Most of you giving your opinions in this column are on the right track. However, a few of you may need a psych evaluation. Isn’t it apparent that Scott Peterson is more than likely the murderer? I don’t know what else you need to determine that. He shows no emotion when you see him on tv, whether it be in his body language or facially. He gets rid of Lacey’s car & gets himself a nice new truck, dyes his hair a new color before attempting to leave the country, SUPPOSEDLY going on vacation. Yeah, whatever. If he had any kind of a loving soul, he would have spent every second he could with Lacey’s parents, proving to them his innocence. He is another man that went to the extreme to try to cover his own ass because he couldn’t keep it in his pants. Rather than facing his problem, & admitting he screwed up, he chose the cowardly way out & destroyed two beautiful lives.

he is as guilty as sin i have never in my 65 years seen such a low life and his parents are stupid or in denial. for gods sake this was their grandchild too. may he get his on earth if not he has to face GOD someday.he better hope they put him in a cell by himself even the worse inside of prison will feel any sympathy for a mother and child murder.and that attorney he has should loose some one he loves in such away and then see how he would grin and play to the camaras.

Why would anyone do this? What about confession?
Have the police gotten Scott alone, and attempted to get a confession? I have read that crimnals often need to, and want to confess…to cellmates, priests/pastors, and even family members…can police or prosecuters use a confession as evidence if it is from pastorial
sources? This is a problem that is becoming more common, and manifesting more frequently in our society. What is causing this violence against
mothers and unborn children? God help us all!

anyone who thinks that scott did not kill his wife and child need a fuckin reality check, what kind of husband and future father would leave the country after his wife and child were killed. ITS SIMPLE REALLY IF EVERYONE WOULD JUST OPEN THEIR EYES, SCOTT PETERSON KILLED HIS WIFE AND CHILD, HES A SICK DEMENTED KILLER AND DESERVES NOTHING LESS THAN TO BE EXECUTED.

I do believe in a right to a fair trial,however, after I have heard of all the known facts about this case, I do have to say he does sound pretty guilty.He acts very suspicious, and cold.I know if my husband acted that way, It would not be normal.They say everyone reacts differently, but his actions are as cold as ice.I think we can all agree on that.cherie thinks Amber Frey had something to do with Lacys murder, well maybe she did, maybe he doesnt even know, or maybe they are in this together and Scott is taking the wrap for Amber? Maybe that sounds too far fetched, but I am a big believer in anythings possible.

I wonder how many people found out where Scott was when he went fishing. The media sounded that information so that anyone could have planted the body in SF bay near Berkeley. Anyone with a 20′ boat could have driven and dumbed the bodies there. This whole linching mob is just like the KKK in their actions. There is not an innocent one among them. The fools make up their mind without hearing all the evidence. It is no accident that Modesto released the information to the media the way it did.

I believe because Scott Peterson told the police where he was fishing & the bodies of Laci & Conner showed up there later, indicates he is innocent. Maybe someone following this case thought putting the body there was a great idea. If we were hounded day & night by the police I wonder what we would do & we all grieve differently. As for changing his appearance, that would only draw more attention to him. I think Amber Frey should be scrutinized more carefully. Maybe an old boyfriend of hers or someone who knew her had it out for Laci, or was jealous of the baby. The media has already convicted him. I hope he gets a fair trial. He should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. My heart goes out to Laci & Conner’s family but also to Scott Peterson’s family. Let’s stop crucifying Scott until all the facts are known. As far as I can see, everything made public is purely circumstantial.

Give your head a shake! A good shake! Scott confessed to being at the bay because he feared someone saw him there…receipts showed him there etc. He had no choice but to divulge where he was. Thank God the bodies turned up. Now we know how they got into the bay. Scott took them there by his own admission!

I’m going to be perfecctly honest with you, I believe Scott killed his wife and I think so because of his behavior. He appears as a sneaky person and it is true everyone does grieve differently but you have to look at the facts he has went through alot of trouble of trying to hide his mistress from his wife’s family. He would not want to be on t.v with her family trying to get people’s support and help in finding his wife and unborn child just doesn’t seem right to me.And another thing why did he change his appearance and try to leave the country?Let’s be realistic HE DID IT!!!!! And like someone said before Amber or whoever she is could have played a role in as well but we’ll never know that because only a handleful of people really know what happened to that poor woman and her precious child.But I wouldn’t doubt anything that could have happened because we have some really sick people in this world now a days.I don’t wish death on him but he will get what is coming to him whether it is in this life or in death.

Scott Petersen is Guilty. It is a sad world we live in when it is up to what kind of lawyer you can or can not afford gets you a guilty or innocent verdict. I am positive he is guilty. My sister is actually a star witness and testifying against Scott Petersen as we speak. How could a father kill his own unborn baby and beautiful wife. Didn’t he ever hear of “get a divorce”!

I personally believe Scott Peterson is innocent.
Everybody handles grief differently( I make jokes, I try to laugh alot to get over the hurt) so to say he’s too calm is not enough proof for me to say he’s guilty. The police need to look closer at the woman he had the affair with, you know the saying a “womans’ scorn”. Q.) Did the other woman feel as though the only thing between her and Scott was a pregnant Lacy Peterson? Q.)Did they check the other womans’ medical records for mental history ,or, to see if she could even have children, or to see if she had stopped using her choice of birth control during the time of the affair in hopes that she would conceive?
These questions come into mind when thinking of the sick twisted way Lacy and the baby were found. It just seems like the police should be focusing more why it was done the way it was done.
It seems like something a scorned woman with serious mental problems would do.

To Simone of Ohio: So it appears you have focused everything on Amber Frey, you know the mistress of Scott’s? One of the many top things that came out (if you were paying attention at all) was that Scott NEVER told Amber he was married and Amber found out by watching TV. So there is NO woman scorned. That is the only reason WHY she (Amber) came forward in the first place. Scott even lied to her. Did you ever think that just maybe Laci (and it is spelled with an “i”) found out about Amber and one thing led to another and things got out of hand. It could happen. If Scott strangled her she would have went into spontaneous birth with Connor. Then Scott had to behead her cause you could see where she was strangled. Ever think of that?

I would like to know what Scott’s parents think of him cheating on Lacy with Amber Frey. Do they excuse this behavior too, when they hear about his antics and behavior. What did they see to indicate he adored his wife? He is really a stupid person .

I,too feel Laci found out something and lost her life because she confronted Scott…and things went from there…maybe an accident and then he got deeper and deeper into covering it up…only he knows now and he looks like the type that will never divulge it..he had no love or respect for Laci the way he messed around… he is only a spoiled self-centered brat

Another thought…Scott has five brothers and why have they not been in court…I have seen his sister, I believe, and his sister-in-law by his side, but never hear of them being there…and have never heard any remarks from his parents on his cheating, lying, ways…what do they think of his uncaring ways…he had no love for anyone except himself…

I truly believe that Scott is guilty, guilty, guilty. When my ex-husband was 30, I was 27, pregnant, and found out he was having an affair. Had it not been for having another child, I feel I, too, could have ended up as “fish food”. Like Amber,my ex’s mistress had no idea I was pregnant. (Like it really mattered). Every action of Scott’s has more than proven his guilt to me. Remember the Susan Smith case? When she was on TV, she couldn’t look straight at the interviewer.. neither did Scott Peterson when asked the “tough” questions. I believe that Laci found out about Ms. Amber and threatened Scott with divorce and taking all assets, which caused her own death at his hands. He isn’t the first cheating husband to kill his wife and child, and he certainly won’t be the last.
I only pray that the jury in this case will provide the justice that needs to be found in this case.. and that is GUILTY.

This man has been tried and convicted by the media, the public and by many who do not know the facts. Who are we to judge? If indeed this man committed this horrific crime he will be punished, not only by our judicial system but by the highest power of all. If we are convicting an innocent man, then we too will have to answer, right? Opinions based on “how someone acts or looks” are ludicrous. Every single person responds differently to pain, sadness or loss. Laci’s family, Laci and her unborn son are in our prayers.

I don’t think Scott murded his Wife.but did have sex with Amber Frey/When I was pragnent I refused to have sex with my husband after I was 8 months along this made my husband mad and to this day I feel he went else ware to satisfie his needs. He told me that most men will do this and usualy stop this habit after the baby is born. All I can say about Scott Peterson is “Liar Liar Pants on Fire”. His pants will fry when he gets the electric chair or lethal injection. He told nobody about the boat and Laci’s hairs on the pliers in the boat are good enough to convince anyone he’s as guilty as hell. He likes his girls Hot and that’s what he’ll get in Hell.

It is amazing to see how the media controls people. Do any of you personally know Scott or his family, or did you know Scott and Lacie? How would anyone know what kind of person he is? How would anyone know how you would react to the loss of a wife and child unless you have been there. Have you been there, do you know how you would react???? I don’t think many of you have been down that horrible, horrible road, and OK, he cheated on 8 month pregnant wife and lied to Amber and his parents saying he wasn’t married and was a World traveler, ANY man who cheats on his wife is not going to tell the lover their married and have a child on the way. In addition where is all of the evidence DNA, some kind of proof. I think we need to wait until the jury returns a verdict, and not pass judgement on someone who may be innocent…Innocent until proven guilty, there is no proof, it’s all circumstantial…
