Are we getting our money’s worth?

President Bush has requested $75 billion for six months of war in Iraq. Money well spent? I suspect most people’s minds are already made up on that. But I got to thinking about what $75 billion will buy these days:

A new Lexus for every unemployed American
10 shares of Microsoft stock for every American
A pizza and a beer for every person on Earth

How would you spend $75 billion? Post a comment.

  2. Basically everybody in the US who isn’t a republican politician, on the board of an oil company, energy concern, or fortune 500 company is screwed. Clinton may not have been perfect, but if Congress gave him 75 billion, he wouldn’t waste it on a war nobody but fanatical Christians and oil men want– it would be pussy, beer and Big Macs for all Americans!
